UEFA FUTSAL EURO | HEAD COACH DEJAN MAJES SELECTED 16 PLAYERS FOR THE FINAL PREPARATION PERIOD BEFORE THE DEPARTURE TO NETHERLANDS

The Head Coach of the Futsal National team of Serbia, Dejan Majes, has selected 16 candidates and they are in the preparation period since 8.1. before leaving for the UEFA Futsal EURO, which is being held in the Netherlands (19.1-6.2).

The final list of 14 names will be known before leaving for Amsterdam, where our futsal players will play all three matches in the group stage of the competition. Serbia is in the strongest group at the championship, together with the current world champions Portugal, Ukraine and the host Netherlands.

The Futsal National Team has recently left a great impression at the FIFA Futsal World Cup in Lithuania and just continued with great performances at major competitions, regardless of the names of the opponents and the strength of the group that regularly “follows” Rajčević, Pršić, Tomić, Momčilović, Lazarević, Kocić, Petrov, Rakić and other guys who have been representing the country in a fantastic way all these years.

The list of 16 names includes: Goalkeepers Nemanja Milanovic (Ekonomac, Kragujevac), Jakov Vulic (FON, Belgrade), Nemanja Momcilovic (Lille, France), Players: Ninoslav Aleksic (Kecskemét, Hungary), Mladen Kocic (Loznica), Denis Ramic (FON, Belgrade), Dragan Tomic (Halle Goik, Belgium), Slobodan Rajcevic (FON, Belgrade), Lazar Milosavljevic (FON, Belgrade), Nikola Matijevic (Loznica), Kristijan Vasic (Ekonomac, Kragujevac), Andreja Stojcevski (Ekonomac,Kragujevac), Stefan Rakić (Bielo Biala, Poland), Marko Pršić (Al Arabi, Kuwait), Strahinja Petrov (Real San Giuseppe, Italy), Jovan Lazarević (Tyumen, Russia).

The Technical Staff, in addition to the Head Coach Dejan Majes, is consisted of: Coaches: Vladimir Jovanović and Vojkan Vukmirović, Goalkeepers Coach: Aleksa Antonić, Fitness Coach: Aleksandar Petrović, Doctor: Milisav Popić, Physiotherapist: Branislav Radenković, Team manager Marija Armuš and Kit Manager Đorđe Otović .

The Futsal National Team of Serbia will play their first match at the UEFA Futsal Euro on 19.1 (17.30h) against Portugal, four days later the opponent will be Ukraine (14.30), and on 28.1, a match against the Netherlands (20.30) will be played. All matches in this phase of the competition, Serbia plays in Amsterdam.
