03.04.2024.

Football Association of Serbia has formed a working group to develop a new General Strategy for the period 2024-2028 that coincides with the new UEFA HatTrick cycle.

The development of the General Strategy will be a guide for all departments within the FAS when creating individual strategies for the development and implementation of activities under the auspices of the General Strategy.

This new FAS strategic framework development is supported by the UEFA GROW team with their consultants assisting in the entire process.

At the beginning of the meeting with the working group and all relevant football stakeholders, the workshop host addressed those present on behalf of UEFA.

“It is nice to be in Serbia again. It is always fantastic to work with the Football Association of Serbia. I am glad to be working again with my former colleagues from Serbia. I am here to help with the strategic planning of the FA and I feel privileged to do so. At the end of the two-day workshop, we will have the basis for creating an important document that will help in the further development of football in Serbia”, said UEFA consultant, Adam Walker at the opening of the workshop in Stara Pazova.

The working group is led by FAS General Affairs Director Aleksandra Ćupović, and is also composed of Marketing Director Vanja Kostić, Legal Advisor Nebojša Ivković, League and Competition Coordinator and Team Manager Dušan Gelić, Press Officer Milan Vuković, Finance Department representative Dragana Savić and Grassroots Manager Ruža Ilić.

The workshop itself and the Strategy development process also have been supported by the FAS Vice President, Mrs Sandra Sremčević, in front of top management and the FAS Executive Committee.

“All colleagues who are in this working group from the beginning have been very dedicated in creating this important document that will serve the further development not only of the Football Association of Serbia, but of football and sports in Serbia in general.”

For the sake of the Strategy objectivity, there were also present representatives of the Union of Super League clubs, representatives of the Belgrade FA region, FA of Vojvodina, FAs of Eastern and Western Serbia regions, as well as a representative of FA of Kosovo and Metohija. The meetings were attended by coaches and players from the national men’s and women’s teams, media representatives, volunteer coordinators, and volunteers.
