UEFA CONGRESS IN PARIS | FAS DELEGATION LED BY PRESIDENT DRAGAN DŽAJIĆ / NEXT UEFA CONGRESS IN BELGRADE ON APRIL 3, 2025

08.02.2024.

The 48th Ordinary UEFA Congress was held earlier today at La Maison de La Mutualité in Paris, chaired by UEFA president Aleksander Čeferin.

The most important decision for Serbian football was made the day before at the Executive Committee meeting, namely the next Ordinary UEFA Congress will take place on April 3, 2025 in Belgrade and the news caused great joy of football officials and the entire football public in our country.

The smiles and good mood of all the members of our delegation in Paris clearly speak volumes of the importance of the trust shown by UEFA and the reputation the FA of Serbia enjoys in the international field. Belgrade, as a recognizable European capital, fulfils all possible conditions to host one of the most important events in the European football, and on one hand it is a huge recognition for Serbian football, but on the other it is also an opportunity to promote our country at the international level.

Representatives of our FA at the UEFA Congress in Paris are president Dragan Džajić, vice-president Branislav Nedimović, general secretary Jovan Šurbatović and director of sports sector Miroslav Tanjga. There will be 2024/25 UNL league phase draw at 18 hrs and they will be joined by head-coach Dragan Stojković and A team director Stevan Stojanović.

Every major event organized by UEFA means discussions on current topics and reforms, but also the exchange of ideas and experiences among heads of the national associations, and it is also an opportunity for gathering of great friends from the football pitch. Last night the FAS camera recorded a friendly encounter of Dragan Stojković and Stevan Stojanović with their former teammate Robert Prosinečki, coming to the UNL draw as his first duty in his position as the head-coach of Montenegro.

At the Paris Congress, as the last item on the agenda, the Executive Committee decision will be confirmed and Belgrade will officially become the host of the next UEFA Congress.
