DELEGATION OF THE SERBIAN FOOTBALL ASSOCIATION AT THE UEFA CONGRESS IN LISBON | NEW MANDATE FOR ALEXANDER ČEFERIN, MEETINGS WITH ČEFERIN, INFANTINO, THEODORIDIS AND LAKOVIĆ

The 47th Ordinary UEFA Congress took place on Wednesday 5 April 2023 in Lisbon, attended by a three-member delegation of the Football Association of Serbia. Vice-presidents Branislav Nedimović and Janoš Žemberi and general secretary Jovan Šurbatović, voted for a new four-year term in the position of the first man of UEFA, Aleksandar Čeferin, on behalf of our football organization.

The election of the new-old UEFA president, a sincere friend of Serbian football and our Association, was one of the items on the agenda of the 47th UEFA Congress. The delegates adopted the Report of the UEFA President and Executive Committee for the period 2021/22. as well as the Financial Statements for the same period.

Top executives of FSS had separate meetings with UEFA President Čeferin, FIFA President Infantino, UEFA General Secretary Theodoridis and UEFA National Associations Director Laković regarding new projects and Serbia’s potential candidacy for hosting a major U20 and U21 competition. The new management of the FSS was also presented, who informed UEFA and FIFA officials about the plans for the next mandate. Nedimović, Žemberi and Šurbatović had a series of bilateral meetings with other national associations. Čeferin and Infantino once again congratulated the new president Dragan Džajić, as well as vice-presidents Nedimović and Žemberi and the new management, on their election and provided strong support in the implementation of joint projects that will soon be presented to the public.
