WOMEN "A" NATIONAL TEAM | TWO VICTORIES AGAINST BULGARIA, THE DREAM TO QUALIFY TO THE WORLD CUP IS ALIVE
Again a convincing victory, again a routine victory, Serbia is living the dream of its qualification to the World Cup. The players of Serbia ended brilliantly the 2021 qualifying campaign for the World Cup as they again defeated Bulgaria, this time in Plovdiv – 4:1 (3:0). After the initial defeat by the first Group favorite – Germany (5: 1), and the undeserved defeat on the road against Portugal (2: 1), who is the biggest rival for the second place, players of our Women National Team achieved three consecutive victories and hold third place at the end of 2021.
Great football was played by our girls a few days ago in the match against Bulgaria in Stara Pazova (3:0), and they repeated such a match today in Plovdiv (4:1). Everything was decided after the first half, when Milica Mijatović (20th minute of play) and Vesna Milivojević (33rd minute of play) gave Serbia an advantage of two goals. In the last minute of the first half, Jovana Damnjanović, FC Bayern’s goal-scorer, who scored two goals in the first match, gave our national team a 3-0 lead. In the second half, Serbia routinely maintained its high advantage and expects the continuation of qualifications with a lot of optimism.
