U17 EURO | STRONG SERBIA, ITALY OUTPERFORMED, SPAIN RIVAL IN THE RUN FOR QUARTERFINALS

Exceptional performance of the cadet team of Serbia (U17) in the second round of the group stage of the European Championship in Hungary and victory against Italy – 2:0 (1:0). The selected team of coach Aleksandar Luković played a fantastic game, tactically dominating from the first minute, creating opportunities and in the end celebrated deservedly. After the defeat in the first game against Slovenia (2:4), these are three important points for our team, which will play against Spain (24 May – 20:00h) to qualify in the knockout phase of the competition, the quarterfinals. Much will depend on the epilogue of the second match, the duel between Slovenia and Italy.

Serbia’s great victory was perhaps marked by the best individual of the match, Matija Popović, who assisted both goals.
