STRONG SERBIA AGAINST AZERBAIJAN | CONFIRMED PLAY-OFF SPOT FOR THE FIFA WORLD CUP, AGAINST PORTUGAL FOR DIRECT QUALIFICATION

An important victory of Serbia against Azerbaijan – 3:1 (1:1) in the qualifying match for the World Cup, before the last, decisive match for a direct qualification to the FIFA World Cup, the November match against Portugal in Lisbon. Serbia dominated throughout the match, scoring three goals and it could have scored at least three more.

The phenomenal Dušan Vlahović, the scorer of the first two goals, had his evening. The first one was scored from the penalty spot, after the foul committed against him. The second one, after the shot by Lazović, the goalkeeper Magomedaliyev rejected the ball, and Vlahović was the closest and fastest to bring Serbia back to the lead.

Captain Dušan Tadić also joined the scorers, with a confident shot from the penalty spot, after a new penalty (A handball by the player of Azerbaijan) for Serbia.
