New edition of the UEFA Nations League 2022/23 will see Serbia play Sweden, Norway and Slovenia.

“It’s a very difficult group. Perhaps the toughest one in the League B. Our priority is the first place and we will play the best we can to be the best team. It won’t be easy, but I do believe that we can achieve that. We respect all the opponents and their quality, but we respect ourselves the most. Anyway, it will be a good warm-up for the World Cup. Those matches will be a quality test, and the upcoming edition of the Nations League is just another in a series of challenges that await us”, said Head-Coach Dragan Stojković.

A Team Director Stevan Stojanović says it is no secret the Eagles will go for the first place…

“I think our group is the toughest one in the group B. But I also know how our Head-Coach thinks, he always prefers to play strong teams and these matches will be a good test before the World Cup in Qatar. We know Norway well from the play-offs for the European Championship, they have good players, especially Haaland. Sweden started their World Cup qualifiers well, they were better than Spain at one point. Slovenia is a good team that no one should underestimate. We know what we want, what we can do, we respect everyone, but we do have quality to fight for the first place in the group.”

Team captain Dušan Tadić also commented our group in the Nations League…

“Without any doubt, these are opponents of good quality, I am sure that we are looking ahead of tough matches that well be a great preparation for the World Cup. As for a possible achievement, respect goes to everyone, but our goals are clear, we want the first place and promotion to the League A. A lot will depend on the June matches, the time when we will play as many as four matches in a relatively short period of time. But as I have already said, there’s no doubt, Serbia goes for the first place.”
