SLAVIŠA KOKEZA AND DUŠAN TADIĆ OPENED THE PITCH AND DISTRIBUTED THE EQUIPMENT

The FA of Serbia continues its activities to assist the clubs throughout Serbia. After visiting FSO Surčin today, and Sopot and Lazarevac yesterday, and the new wave that will cover many places in the country in the next days, the number of clubs that will receive valuable equipment exceeds 1500.

Today, football Serbia was represented by top management in this action of distributing equipment to clubs in OFS Surcin: President Slaviša Kokez, Vice-Presidents Nenad Bjeković and Marko Pantelić, Secretary General Jovan Šurbatović, Deputy Mirko Gluščević, Sports Director Vladimir Matijašević and one of captains of the best national team, Ajax ace Dusan Tadic.

With new equipment, and a new natural turf, a grassy beauty in Dobanovci, a football paradise (artificial grass) for future aces, children who train football. And an image that will not be forgotten,  youth categories of many clubs next to one of their idols, Dušan Tadić. All categories of clubs received new equipment: Budućnost (Dobanovci), Jedinstvo (Surčin), Šumadinac (Bečmen), Borac (Progar), Srem (Jakovo), Posavac Tišma …

-It’s always a pleasure to hang out with kids. It is my pleasure to bring smiles to their faces and to be able to help them with some advice. I have an impression that in that way I give them an additional incentive and motivate them to be even better with the ball. I remember how I reacted when I was their age, those are memorable things. I constantly emphasize that they must do what they they love, because I think that is the essence. These children may still not understand what that means, but as time goes on, it will be clearer to them how important it is to enjoy the chosen profession. It was a great day in Dobanovci today. Once again I realized  how much the arrival of famous football names and people who manage our football means to those children. This is a great gesture of the Football Association of Serbia, I hear that this action of helping the clubs will continue and be spread to the entire territory of Serbia – Dusan Tadic said.

President Slaviša Kokeza promised that the donation would cover all clubs that need help the most, and the priority is mostly lower-class clubs that have never felt this kind of support and help before.

– It is a great pleasure for me that together with my closest associates Nenad Bjeković, Marko Pantelić, Ilija Petković and Jovan Šurbatović, I visited Surčin and attended the ceremonial opening of the new field with artificial turf. I would especially like to thank our celebrated national team member Dušan Tadić, who found time the day before his return to the Netherlands and came to Dobanovci to contribute to this event. He regularly responds to all our actions, promotes football throughout Serbia and knows how to approach children who see him as a true football idol – Slaviša Kokeza pointed out and continued: „We spoke to the President of Surčin Municipality Mr. Šuša, and agreed to raise our cooperation to a higher level. He promised that the next season he would allocate twice as much financial resources for clubs from the territory of the Municipality of Surcin, and that is a phenomenal gesture on his part. In that case, the FSS takes responsibility to donate another artificial turf field of play, which will further accelerate the development of football in Surcin. The more such fields, the more children will choose football as their primary sports activity. I am glad that we continued helping the clubs, yesterday Sopot and Lazarevac, today Surcin, tomorrow Loznica and so on. By the end of the year, we will visit numerous cities throughout Serbia and distribute the equipment to the clubs that need it the most. So far, we have invested over 11 million euros in infrastructure and various types of assistance to football teams, from the lowest ranks to the Serbian Super League. I think that is the right way to continue with the development of football in our country, which is the primary goal of the Football Association of Serbia – said Slaviša Kokeza.

On that occasion, the legendary player, coach and National Coach, now current president of FS Belgrade Mr. Ilija Petković, together with Jovan Šurbatović, the first FSS operative, his deputy Mirko Gluščević and national team member Duško Tošić, distributed equipment to clubs from FSO Sopot: Vojvodina 2013, Vis, Đurinci , Mali Pozarevac, Mladost (Mala Ivanca), Mladost (Guberevac), Popovic, Nemenikuce, Rogaca, Rudar 2012, Sibnica, Stojnik, Kosmaj Ralja, Zuce 2019, Sopot, Ropocevo and Slatina

– When someone gives from the heart, then it is worth twice as much – said Ilija Petković, who perhaps speaks best about the action of the Football Association.
