The premises of the Sports Center of Football Association of Serbia in Stara Pazova have been enriched with portraits of football players who have marked the history of our National Football Team. Since Monday, special places on the walls in front of the dressing room were given to record holders by the number of goals scored and the appearances in the National Team.

Therefore, the current National Teams players are now along with our legendary players and our current National Team Players still have the opportunity to improve their figures and advance to the All-time list.

We would like to remind that, in statements for the Website of the Football Association of Serbia, Aleksandar Kolarov and Aleksandar Mitrovic repeatedly emphasized that they do not think about the individual records and that their priority aim is to qualify to the European Championship with the Serbian National Team:

“Personally, I have no ambition to reach the figures of Branislav Ivanović, Dejan Stanković or Savo Milošević. I turned 34 years of age, so I still have this qualifying cycle, maybe a play-offs and therefore, we’ll see it later. Of course, I’m glad that I approached to such big players of Serbian football. If there is an opportunity to reach more figures, that’s all right. But this is not my main aim. We will see how would I feel but I will certainly not play because of breaking the record” said Kolarov after the match against Paraguay.

Aleksandar Mitrović also spoke in nice words…

“I really wouldn’t like to compare myself with Rajko Mitić, Blagoje Marjanovic Moša, Savo Milošević, Milan Galić, Stjepan Bobek… It is a great honor for me to be in the company of such great players. This gives me the motivation to continue in the same rhythm and to contribute to the success of Serbia with my goals. What matters the most is the Team. Keeping good health and records will come by themselves. When the team is playing well, then the goals are scored easilly,” said modestly Aleksandar Mitrović.
