EAGLES IN QATAR | SCHEDULE AND STADIA

04.04.2022.

Serbia is in Group G at the FIFA World Cup in Qatar, together with Brazil, Switzerland and Cameroon, and the schedule is known, as well as the location where they will play their matches. Eagles’ fans will watch one of the two matches in the morning hours according to CET.

Therefore, Serbia will start its World Cup trip to Qatar on Thursday, November 24, against Brazil at 22:00 local time, or at 20:00 CET, at the Lusail Stadium.

This is the stadium where the grand final of the World Cup will be played on December 18! This stadium can accommodate 80,000 spectators, and after the tournament, it will be arranged to accommodate twice as less spectators.

The selected players of the coach Dragan Stojković will then play a match against Cameroon. The duel is on the program on Monday, November 28, at 11:00 AM our time, and it will be played at the “Al Janub” stadium in Al Wakra, near Doha.

And for the end of the group phase, the match with Switzerland, the “Eagles” will play on Friday, December 2, again in the evening at 20.00, but at the “974” stadium. This stadium is known for the fact that it consists of 974 prefabricated containers, and after the World Cup it will be dismantled! Also, 974 is a symbolic number, as it is a country code for Qatar.

If Serbia achieves a place in the round of 16, it will play either on December 5 at the same stadium (if it comes as the first in the group) or on December 6 at the “Lusail” stadium if it finishes in second place. Both matches are on the program at 20.00 Central European Time.
