UEFA WEEK OF FOOTBALL IN SERBIA, THE HOLIDAY OF CHILDREN JOY

UEFA will celebrate in this year, within the European Week of Sports, the Week of Football, and on that occasion UEFA invited all its members to take part.

 The Football Association of Serbia traditionally joins the event and in the period 23-30.09.2018 along with the Regional Football Associations, it organized festivals and tournaments to gather children of different ages and abilities. Clubs and Primary Schools, who bring together boys and girls of elementary schools, as well as children with special needs, confirmed their participation.

176 teams, ages 7-11 took part In the UEFA Week of Football within the Football Association of Belgrade with many matches played. As a part of the ceremony, it has been organized a  Football Festival where the teams that are participating in leagues, along with girls and disabled children, took part in polygon games and exercises and basic elements of football technique were presented, as well as the large number of coordination exercises. More than 100 boys and girls participated in that ceremonial part. After the completion of the festival, it was distributed the sports equipment, assigned by the Football Association of Serbia.

 The Football Association of Vojvodina organized a “Children’s Football Day” within the UEFA Grassroots Week in Bečej.. In the cooperation with Local Government it organized a “Day of School Football”. The event was also followed by sports friends from FC “Bečej”. Children with special needs from the school “Bratstvo” from Bečej were guests of the event. The matches of boys, girls and children with special needs were played, and the gifts were distributed to the School, pupils, teachers and children with special needs.

The Region of the Football Association of Eastern Serbia also took part in the UEFA Week of Football Week, and more than 60 boys and 15 girls from various districts played matches and it was nice gathering providing a nice memory to everyone.

 The Football Association of the Region of Western Serbia organized in Smederevska Palanka the UEFA Week of Football, on the pitch with the artificial turf in the Sports Center “Kolonija”. A large number of children, boys and girls from FC “Plana”, age seven, eight and nine, as well as children with special needs, felt the spirit of the football game and the joy arising from the game.

 The Football Association of Serbia provided support for all regional Associations in the form of sports equipment as well as PR for all activities during the Week of Football.
