Serbian National Team lost the match against Portugal.

In the Round 8 of Group 9 of the European Qualifiers for EURO 2016, the National Team of Portugal won the match against Serbia 2:1 (1:0).

The match was played on the stadium of FK “Partizan” with the attendance of 8’000 with the rain and the cold weather.

The match referee was: David Fernandez Borbalan (Spain)

Goalscorers: Nani 5th min. of play and Moutinho in 76th min. of play and Zoran Tošić scored for Serbia in 65th min. of play.

Albania won the match tonight against Armenia with a score 3:0 (2:0) and it qualified directly to the FInal Tournament of the European Championship in France.

After two victories of White Eagles against Albania and Armenia, the National Team of Serbia has lost the match against Portugal. Our players did not manage to capitalise in good periods of play. Most of the time, Serbian National team had the initiative in the match. The visiting team scored twice and they qualified to the European Championship in France as they ended N.1 position in our qualifying group.

The Head Coach of Serbia, Radovan Curcic selected the same team that played against Albania with one change, the injured captain Branislav Ivanovic was replaced by Dusko Tosic and the National Team Captain on the match was Aleksandar Kolarov.

Our team played well, it was very focused and it had few opportunities after the equalising goal to take the advantage, but Moutinho scored a goal with a fantastic shot and secured the victory for Portugal.

Before the end of the match the players of our Team, Kolarov and Matic were sent-off, Kolarov while being on the substitute bench already, and aftewards Matic.
