SUCCESS OF THE “ETERNAL” ONES | CRVENA ZVEZDA AND PARTIZAN QUALIFIED TO THE EUROPEAN COMPETITION GROUP PHASES

After tonight’s great results of Crvena zvezda (Red Star) and Partizan, Serbian club football is getting closer to a great success and the possibility for Serbia to have two representatives in the Champions League qualifications for the first time starting with the 2023/24 season. Again, the team of red and whites was better than the Romanian Cluj (4:0 in Belgrade); they were better as guests, too – 1:2 (1:1). All that is enough to confirm qualification in the group phase of the Europa League. On the other hand, Partizan had a more difficult task in the match with the Portuguese Santa Clara. The black and whites managed to turn the tables after a defeat in the first leg (1:2) by scoring 2 goals in the first half of the second leg, which placed them in the group phase of the Conference League.
