Hotel “Metropol” Belgrade was the venue of today's regional meeting, attended by 13 European national associations and high officials of UEFA. This time host to the meeting was the FA of Serbia and their President, Mr Tomislav Karadžić, who chaired the meeting.

Meeting was attended by high delegations of the following national football associations – Albania, Bosnia and Herzegovina, Bulgaria, Croatia, Cyprus, Greece, Macedonia, Montenegro, Romania, Slovenia and Serbia, as well as, Russia and Turkey. Also, active participation at the meeting took the highest UEFA officials, led by the UEFA First Vice-President, Angel Maria Villar, General Secretary Gianni Infantino and Deputy to the General Secretary, Theodore Theodoridis. Also, present were UEFA Competitions Director, Giorgio Marchetti, UEFA Integrity Officer, Urs Kluser and UEFA Marketing Manager, Noel Mooney.

Present officials analized all important issues before two important events – UEFA Extraordinary Congress (Zurich, 25th February) and FIFA Extraordinary Congress (Zurich, 26th February). It is known that new president will be elected at the FIFA Extraordinary Congress and from today's meeting an unanimous and unified support of all present NAs presidents was given to Gianni Infantino and his candidature for the FIFA President. Everybody is convinced that he is the best candidate to lead the world's football family.

There were discussions about current situation at UEFA and preparatory actions for the forthcoming important meetings of this organisation. Next ordinary 40th UEFA Congress will be on 3rd May in Budapest.

Also, three presentations were held by the UEFA representatives, and regarding issues of introducing possible novelties within youth categories competitions, additional protection of competition integrity and marketing.

Finally, decision about venue and date of the next regional meeting will be announced on a later stage.
