ORGANIZED BY UEFA, HOSTED BY FA OF SERBIA | SOCIAL DIALOGUE AT THE EUROPEAN LEVEL

Belgrade hosted a meeting held under the working title “Social Dialogue at the European Level”, attended by the eminent UEFA representatives, Luca Nikola, Head of NA Governance and Global Institutions; European Leagues, Alberto Colombo, Deputy General Secretary; ECA, Mario Flores Chemor, Head of Sports Legal; FIFPRO Europe, Joachim Walltin, General Secretary, Roy Vermeer, Legal Director, and Loic Alves, Senior Legal Counsel.

Football Association of Serbia was represented by Jovan Šurbatović, General Secretary and Dejan Šuput, Legal Director. Union of the Super and First League Clubs was represented by Darko Ramovš, General Secretary, and the meeting was also attended by Milorad Nikolić, FK Partizan Legal Director. The Union of Professional Football Players also had their representatives – Mirko Poledica, President, Vladimir Bojović, legal representative and Mirko Lekić, General Secretary.

In a good atmosphere and with a positive approach of all participants, the topics discussed were the compliance of legal regulations with FIFA and UEFA regulations, and the most talked about were the Regulations Governing Registration, Status and Transfer of Players, Licensing Regulations, as well as the standard contract of professional players. FAS General Secretary Jovan Šurbatović greeted the guests and informed them about the current situation and the reform processes implemented in the previous period.

FK Partizan representative pointed to the problem of the difficult contract verification, while the Union of Professional Football Players noted that there was the need to equalize the rights of domestic and foreign players. It was agreed to continue with the social dialogue of all football parties in Serbia and to respond to future challenges with a joint approach.
