ON THE OCCASION OF THE BIRTHDAY OF PUC ZELENILO – BELGRADE, NENAD BJEKOVIĆ AND SLOBODAN STANOJEVIĆ PLANTED A TREE IN THE PIONEER PARK

The General Manager of public utility company JKP “Zelenilo-Belgrade”, Slobodan Stanojević, and the Deputy President of the Football Association of Serbia, Nenad Bjeković, planted a tree in the Pioneer Park today, to mark the Company Day. Every year on the occasion of its „birthdays“, “Zelenilo-Belgrade” gives Belgraders a valuable type of seedlings that cannot, or very rarely can be seen in Belgrade.

“This is a beautiful tradition – to give the people of Belgrade a rare seedling on our day. This time it is a Persian „Ironwood“ (Parrotia persica) which can rarely be seen in our green areas. It is our contribution to this day, along with all the other work we perform on green surfaces every day. Every year, we have the opportunity to promote the importance of ecology, protection and improvement of greenery in Belgrade by engaging prominent successful persons, and I am particularly glad that this year it is Nenad Bjeković, the legend of Yugoslav and Serbian football, “said Slobodan Stanojević.

The Deputy President of the Football Association of Serbia, Nenad Bjeković, praised the work of PUC JKP “Zelenilo-Belgrade” and pointed out that the green areas in Belgrade are neat, clean and look beautiful, and that many of his friends who come from abroad to visit Belgrade notice that.

It is a great privilege to plant this tree today as part of the celebration of the “Zelenilo” Day. I spend a lot of time in nature and I appeal to everyone to spend as much time outside as possible. Belgrade has all the conditions for that, there are many parks, landscaped green areas and everyone can find a place for recreation. I notice that people are appreciating the nature more and more and that they are returning to nature”, Bjeković concluded.
