FIRST TEST MATCH OF THE EAGLES IN VIENNA BEFORE EURO | SERBIA DESERVED MORE, ALL DECIDED IN THE FIRST HALF

National team of Serbia had their first of two preparatory matches, this one with Austria in Vienna, and before the European Championship in Germany. The home team won 2:1 – (HT: 2:1), after scores in the first half. Austria took the lead after ten minutes of the game, and only a few minutes later Baumgartner doubled the score. Serbia managed to reduce the advantage of the home team after Strahinja Pavlović’s goal (35. minute) and that happened to be the outcome of the match.

Head coach Dragan Stojković fielded many players, and after everything shown in the match, a draw might be the fairest outcome.

Serbia’s next test match is in Stockholm on 8th June. We play with Sweden and that will be farewell match for Zlatan Ibrahimović, saying goodbye to active playing and the shirt of the Swedish national team.
