SERBIA DOMINATED AND OUTPLAYED THE REPUBLIC OF IRELAND IN DUBLIN, THE HOST TEAM WON THE POINT WITH A LOT OF LUCK

The match of the National Team of Serbia in Dublin ended as a draw in Dublin – 1:1 (0:1) against the Republic of Ireland. It was the 5th round match of the qualifiers for the FIFA World Cup in Qatar. The National Team of Serbia played a fantastic match, Tadic and his teammates dominated, they missed many goalscoring opportunities. When it comes to the performance in the match they deserved to win, but one unlucky detail left Serbia without all three points.

Serbia took the lead after the corner kick by Dušan Tadić as Sergej Milinković – Savić scored a goal. The goalkeeper of the Republic of Ireland was maybe the best player on the match – Bazunu. The home team equalized just before the end of the match when Sergej Milinković-Savić, in order to clear the ball out, hit Nikola Milenković, and the ball bounced into the net of the National Team of Serbia.
