THE DAY DEJAN STANKOVIĆ DEBUTED | TWO GOALS FOR A START OF A GREAT CAREER (VIDEO)

On this date, 22nd of April, in 1998, in Belgrade, Dejan Stanković debuted in the national team of  FR Yugoslavia in the match with South Korea (3:1). And already that first match for the „blues“ in which he scored two fantastic goals was his ticket to the World Cup in France and announced a great career. Former football star of Crvena zvezda, Lazio and Inter, played 103 matches for the national team and scored 15 goals during his great career, and it will be remembered that he played for one national team in three states: Yugoslavia, Serbia and Montenegro and finally Serbia. Dejan Stanković took part in three world cups (in 1998, 2006 and 2010) and one European Championship – in Belgium and the Netherlands in 2000. After such a great playing career he has devoted himself to coaching and is currently the coach of FK Crvena zvezda.
