DECISION ABAUT UNL PLAYOFF MATCHES TO BE MADE ON MAY 27th AT THEMEETING OF THE UEFA EXECUTIVE COMMITTEE

UEFA held a new meeting on Tuesday with General Secretaries of its Member Associations   (Video conference)

“The meeting was done in a constructive manner. UEFA is following the situation with Covid-19 and all Member Associations were recommended to finish their National Championships in current formats. If it is not possible,the Formats can be changed in accordance to circumstances but the general point is to finish National Championships and National Cups in all available dates  said Mr.Jovan Surbatovic,General Secretary of our National Association.

In relation to the UNL Playoffs for the UEFA European Championship,there are three possible scenarios to play the semifinal and the final match:

– September and October

– October and November

– Both matches in November

“Participating Teams in Playoffs should send its position to UEFA who will make a final decision on the meeting of its Executive Committee on May 27th. We shall,in accordance to meetings with our Sports Department and a National Team Head Coach, provide to UEFA the Proposal in the following days” said Mr.Surbatovic.

We remind that Serbia will play its Semifinal Playoff match against Norway and a Winner will play the Final match against the winner of the following match: Scotland-Israel

It has also been discussed about the competition end of the UEFA Champions League and the UEFA Europa League. The proposed dates are: August 27th (UEFA Europa League) and August 29th (UEFA Champions League).

“It is also necessary to point out that the deadlines to clubs in the Club Licensing Process were rescheduled for one month, i.e June 30th.” said Mr.Jovan Surbatovic,General Secretary of the Football Association of Serbia.
