Last week of September witnessed the UEFA Grassroots Week event, part of the European Week of Sport, traditionally marked all over Europe. FA of Serbia announced activities for the youngest ones at the UEFA Nations League match played between national teams of Serbia and Sweden, when almost 20,000 children of school age cheered the Eagles to victory.

The event then continued at Ada Ciganlija in Belgrade, with the “Sports Fair”, organized by the Sports Association of Serbia, held there the same weekend. That was an opportunity for the game format “Football 2” to be promoted, along with a juggling skills presentation, where the youngest members of the football schools and clubs competed, all under the authority of the FA of Belgrade. FA of Vojvodina, supported by the Provincial Secretariat for Sports and Youth, organized a grassroots festival, with 120 girls and boys as participants of the event held in the FK Vojvodina training centre “Vujadin Boškov”.

First team of FK Vojvodina, together with their technical staff, spent that day with the children, giving them an opportunity to attend their training session.

FA of the city of Pirot, with the support of the FA of the Eastern Serbia, organized a presentation of the grassroots program. The “Football 3” format was presented in the “Kej” Hall, as well as the UEFA Disney Playmakers program for girls. FA of Serbia donated sports equipment to all the participants in the Grassroots Football Week activities all over the country, with the aim to further develop and promote football.

In the city of Čačak, FA of Western Serbia gathered 13 teams to promote the “Football 4” game format. Equipment was provided to the participants, but also a gift, a book from the project “For the Children of Serbia, How To Become a Champion”, dedicated to the successes of the Serbian U-19 and U-20 teams, winners of the 2013 European U-19 Football Championship and U-20 World Cup in 2015.
