“Football Association of Serbia express a clear position against forming a new European competition or so called “league of the rich”, the competition that, with its pronounced egoism, takes from football what has made it global and the most popular – sense of community and solidarity. The game that connects and does not divide; the game that enables everyone some kind of a dream, belongs to the common family of UEFA and FIFA – the system of harmonious and organized football structures. Further to that, FA of Serbia are fully supporting UEFA in their efforts for the football family to only become stronger after this challenge. Simply put, our game on the pitch, during its history and results, cannot and must not make difference between rich and poor, and that is the greatest value of football; for a champion to be an outsider, for a favourite to be relegated. Everyone is entitled to a choice, ours is only one – support for UEFA”.
