SERBIAN PLAYER IS BRILLIANT IN GERMAN BUNDESLIGA | PHENOMENAL STATISTICS OF FILIP KOSTIĆ

03.06.2020.

Filip Kostić is playing the dream season in Eintracht Frankfurt, maybe even better than the one he played along with Luka Jović, when the club from Frankfurt was the most pleasant surprise of the German Bundesliga.

The player of the Serbian National Team continued with good games, after the break caused by the COVID-19 and is again in the focus of the German media, regardless of the fact that the club’s results are not at the level of last year. The Football Observatory (CIES) conducted a statistical analysis of the German championship and the Serbian player is at the very top in several points.

Namely, when it comes to dribbles, Filip Kostić is the second best player in German Bundesliga with 71 dribbles, ahead of him is only Alphonso Davies from FC Bayern Munich (72) and behind is Thiago Alcantara from FC Bayern Munich (69).

The Shots on Goal statistics also indicates how dangerous Filip Kostic is for the opponent’s goal. Filip Kostic shares the fourth place with Alassane Ple from Borussia Mönchengladbach with 70 shots.

Of course, Robert Lewandowski (119) is at the top of the list, followed by Timo Werner (RB Leipzig) and Serge Gnabry from FC Bayern Munich.

Filip Kostić is also phenomenal when it comes to passes to the shot on goal, where he assisted to his teammates in 66 shots and 13.6 of those shots ended in the net. The best player in terms of passes is Christopher Nkunku from RB Leipzig.

In any case, these are good news for the Head Coach, Ljubiša Tumbaković, who will soon have an insight into the form of other members of the National Team as many other European leagues are going to be continued after the break.
