QATAR 2022 | NATIONAL TEAM OF SERBIA TRAVELS TO BAHRAIN, DUŠAN TADIĆ, PREDRAG RAJKOVIĆ AND SASA LUKIĆ

After a one-day stay at the FA of Serbia Sports Center in Stara Pazova, the Serbian national team, which will represent the nation at the FIFA World Cup in Qatar, traveled to Manama, where on 18.11. the only test match is expected before the summit of the world’s best National Teams.

The National Team travels to Qatar the day after the match against Bahrain, and its first match at the FIFA World Cup is scheduled on 24.11 (20:00). The rival is Brazil. Four days later, a match against Cameroon (11:00h), and the match against Switzerland is scheduled on 02.12. Switzerland (20:00h.)

The National Team enjoys the great atmosphere, although the preparations before the World Cup are never shorter, given that we will see the best teams in the World for the first time in November, which was confirmed by captain Dušan Tadić.

“It can be seen that it is the biggest football event. I think we will enjoy it and benefit from previous experiences, because a lot of players were here four years ago. We would like to be together a little longer, because it is a really fantastic atmosphere and everything is as it should be. We would like to be created that euphoria, but let’s go right there. It is an unprecedented event, we just need to let ourselves go and enjoy it,” said Dušan Tadić.

The competition in goal-line has never been stronger, and Predrag Rajković has no doubt that it will only be an incentive for hard work and progress.

“It has been exactly a year since that game when we beat Portugal and qualified for the World Cup.” That day has come, the trip to Bahrain. We are all happy, ready, and can’t wait for the first match. I missed getting together with the guys, but we’re here, so we’ll make up for it, given that we have a month ahead of us. We have a healthy competition, all the goalkeepers are good, in good shape, it is up to Head Coach to decide who will play, but the most important thing is that we agree with each other and that there is no jealousy. We all get along well and we encourage each other to progress,” said Predrag Rajković.

The National Team don’t take their smiles off their faces, which confirms that there is a great atmosphere among them, which was also confirmed by Saša Lukić.

“We are all ready, the day of the gathering has come. We are slowly getting on the road to the long-awaited World Cup. A year ago we secured this qualification and the moment has come to continue where we left off and show ourselves in the best light. A big competition for us, I am proud that we will defend the colors of Serbia. The most important thing is the atmosphere, that we are all positive. From the first day, when Head Coach arrived, until now, you can see that real atmosphere and everyone is happy to be here, that we will be together in the following month. I had a little trouble with a calf injury, but everything is fine, nothing serious. I’ll be ready in a few days”, said Saša Lukić.
