QATAR 2022 | HEAD COACH DRAGAN STOJKOVIĆ AND CAPTAIN DUŠAN TADIĆ FROM MANAMA BEFORE THE MATCH AGAINST BAHRAIN

Head Coach of the National Team of Serbia Dragan Stojković and captain Dušan Tadić spoke to the journalists at the official press conference on the eve of the friendly match against Bahrain (Friday, 16:30h),

“The atmosphere is fantastic, nothing has changed there. From the first day when the Head Coach Stojković took over the team, you can feel the positive energy and we all can’t wait to get together. We enjoy every possible moment. We just need to let go, play our offensive game with a lot of optimism and the result will certainly not be lacking. The expectations for the game against Bahrain are the same as for every previous one, we don’t care about the name of the opponent, we always go for the win” – said Tadić, while Head Coach Stojković first thanked the host for the warm welcome.

First of all I would like to thank the people of Bahrain for the great reception and organization. We have phenomenal conditions to work and prepare for what awaits us very soon at the World Cup. As regards for tomorrow’s match, we know that the Bahrain national team is composed mainly of players from the domestic championship, we respect them, but we will go for the win. This is just a friendly match and the most important thing for our team is that no one gets injured in those 90 minutes. We want to show once again that Serbia deserves to be a participant in the FIFA World Cup in Qatar. A great opportunity for all of us, I am very happy because for the first time I have the opportunity to stay in Bahrain and I want to leave the best possible impression with my team on the pitch” – said Stojković and confirmed that he will not count on Kostic, Lukić and Mitrović for the match against Bahrain, while Vlahović trained with full intensity, which is certainly information that pleases both him and the entire Serbian football public.
