ONLINE PRESS CONFERENCE OF THE HEAD COACH LJUBIŠA TUMBAKOVIĆ

The Head Coach of the National Team of Serbia, Ljubisa Tumbakovic, announced the list of players for the October matches against Norway (UEFA EURO – Playoffs), Hungary and Turkey (UEFA Nations League B), and then answered the questions of the journalists at the online press conference.

New names are Mihailo Ristic and the goalkeeper Djordje Nikolic, the player that returns on the list is Milos Veljkovic, about the system with three players in the defensive line, a possible debut…

– We have many important matches ahead of us, the first is perhaps the most important. We made a list of players that can respond to requests in these matches, primarily in the Playoffs.

The return of Luka Milivojevic, the stronger midfielders line…

– The match against Norway is the most important; It depends of players who will play.

We’ll select them in accordance with match requests.

About tactics, plan for Haaland…

-We are trying to create an atmosphere on the pitch that will be convenient for us, to impose ourselves with the strength of our quality. We’ll try to keep all their qualities to a minimum.  Haaland is in shape, we need a lot of concentration and discipline to finish everything in the way that is convenient for us.

Norway has shown two different faces in the previous two matches…

They have a very high quality National Team, according to everything, they are physically strong, talent, knowledge,. Now, how are we going to play. To fight of course, but the focus will be on our quality. We have to use our quality, to be focused from the first minute.

Our players are getting back in shape after the September gathering, many of them are playing in their clubs…

– The matches we played in September are not the real image of our National Team and I said then that it will be much better in October, when the players will have the number of matches played in their clubs.
