DRAGAN STOJKOVIĆ HEAD COACH OF THE SERBIA TEAM
By decision of the Football Association of Serbia Executive Committee Dragan Stojković is the head coach of the Serbia National Team. Agreement has been reached to mutual satisfaction. Stojković has signed a three-year contract, i.e. till the end of the 2024 EURO qualifications.
“I am overjoyed and very proud, at the same time. There is no greater honour but to be the head-coach of my own country. I could not wish for a better birthday present. I am aware of the responsibility I ma taking over, but I also believe in my own quality, quality of my associates and a great potential our team has. Also, I feel great support from everyone ad that will be necessary for us to achieve our goals. World Cup qualifications are just around the corner. We are already preparing, analyzing opponents with two of them extremely difficult, and realistically our main rivals for the first two places in the group. As I have stated recently, we must be united, we have to give everything for the jersey of our country, our emblem and anthem. There is no other way to reach success. Results are priority, but I also want us to dominate, to wish for a score more and to be those who will control the game. There will be tough moments, but unity will also be needed then, as well as faith and optimism that the first next match will be better. Once again, I would like to thank the FA of Serbia for their trust in me and I hope that together, we will have reasons to look forward to successes of our team” – said Dragan Stojković.
With the head-coach Dragan Stojković, there will also be Stevan Stojanović, as the A Team director.
